In 2009, the Philippine Delegation of the Assumptionist named several apostolic priorities. One of them is greater involvement and solidarity with the poor. After exploring several possibilities, Adveniat House is setting up a more stable social involvement with a poor community (Marytown) under the social ministry of the parish.

“To be with the poor and among the poor."

The plan is to establish an apostolic house within the poor community to have a more constant presence among the poor and in order to have direct contact with them. This will allow the brothers and lay partners to develop greater sensitivity to their situation and to be formed as partners and advocates of the poor, not merely donors or patrons. Also, after meetings with the leaders of this area, we were asked to focus on the youth, especially the ones who are out-of-school and to propose them human formation to help them to grow and improve their integration present as youth and future as responsive adults, responsive Philippians citizens.

Opening of the project!

From October 18th, Monday to October 20th, Saturday Brothers Ed, Glenn and Rowell have helped the contractor to build our local! Every day the people of Marytown get to know more about the Augustinians of the Assumption!
